A strong start to 2025
KSG has another Milestone achieved: The ultra-modern technology of the new ENIG system in Gars am Kamp is not only a benefit for our production processes, but also a significant step forward for the fulfillment of the Expectations of our Customers. With great commitment and team spirit, we managed to successfully complete this project last year.

What does an ENIG system do?
An ENIG system (Electroless Nickel Immersion Gold) is used to finish the copper surface of the printed circuit board with a special surface coating of nickel and gold. This coating ensures high conductivity, corrosion resistance and excellent solderability - essential properties in electronics production.
Stable processes for maximum quality through process reliability
During an intensive qualification phase, the new system proved that it is not only stable but also efficient. The process safety and reliability that we achieve with it underline our claim to maximum performance and perfection and provide our customers with products of the usual high quality.
More transparency through traceability
A particular highlight of the new system is the seamless traceability of the system data for each individual product - even over years. This function allows us to analyze interactions within the production processes even more precisely.
With this data we can:
- Recognize possible effects and correlations in the production process earlier.
- Make more efficient and accurate predictions.
- Ensuring more sustainable and stable processes for the future.
A step into the future of production
The commissioning of the ENIG system is more than just a technical upgrade. It is a sign of how we at KSG create innovative solutions for our customers by using the latest technologies.
Do you need help designing printed circuit boards with an ENIG surface?
The Digital Design Compass (DDC) from the KSG Group is a free, web-based online tool. It supports you in the efficient and error-free design of PCBs suitable for series production. The platform offers round-the-clock access to comprehensive PCB know-how, current design rules and useful FAQs - including, of course, on the subject of ENIG.
