The award was sponsored by the companies: technosert electronic, KSG, BMK Group, Horstmann Germany and Viscom.

The winners are: Paul Goldschmidt (18 years from Heidelberg), Philipp Lorenz (22 years from Augsburg) and the team Lukas Biethan, Jakob Keischnigg and Fabian Lechl (19 years from Ferlach, Carinthia). The first-placed team won 3,000 euros, the second-best 2,000 euros and the third 1,000 euros. The PAUL Award is named after Paul Eisler, engineer and inventor of the circuit board.
